PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI REMAJA MELALUI EDUKASI KESEHATAN DI BIDAN PRAKTIK MANDIRI KARANGSONO SUKOREJO PASURUAN

ABSTRACT
Adolescent reproductive health is an essential aspect of supporting optimal growth and development. Insufficient knowledge regarding reproductive health can increase the risk of reproductive health problems, risky behaviors, early pregnancy, and sexual violence. Efforts to improve adolescents’ reproductive health knowledge are necessary through structured educational interventions tailored to their needs. This community service program aimed to enhance adolescents’ knowledge of reproductive health through health education conducted at the Karangsono Independent Midwifery Practice (BPM Karangsono), Sukorejo, Pasuruan. The activity involved 109 adolescents and was implemented using lectures, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions supported by audiovisual media. Educational materials covered the concepts of reproductive health, puberty, the importance of adolescent reproductive health, common reproductive health problems among adolescents, prevention of early pregnancy, menstrual hygiene, sexual violence, and strategies for maintaining healthy reproductive health. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test assessments to measure participants’ knowledge before and after the educational intervention. The results showed that the mean knowledge score increased from 68.46 in the pre-test to 85.48 in the post-test, representing an improvement of 17.02 points. The standard deviation decreased from 17.79 to 8.16, indicating a more uniform level of understanding among participants following the intervention. Reproductive health education was proven effective in improving adolescents’ knowledge of reproductive health. Continuous educational programs are recommended to support the development of healthy behaviors and the prevention of reproductive health problems among adolescents.
