PENGARUH EDUKASI TENTANG MOBILISASI DINI PADA PASIEN PASCA OPERASI LAPARATOMI
Keywords:
early mobilization, postoperative care, laporotomyAbstract
After surgery, especially abdominal procedures, patients require optimal care to expedite the healing of surgical wounds and their overall physical recovery. The restoration of physical function in patients following laparotomy is initiated immediately post-operation through effective breathing exercises, coughing, and early mobilization training. Postoperative patients often experience anxiety about engaging in early mobilization due to fears of pain, concerns about stitches coming undone, or delayed wound healing. This community service program employed various methods, including tutorials, lectures, and question-and-answer sessions. These methods were utilized to educate and engage patients in classical lectures, discussions, and interactive sessions. The primary aim of this community service was to educate and teach early mobilization to post-laparotomy patients at Dr. Iskak Tulungagung General Hospital. The program targeted patients who had recently undergone laparotomy at Dr. Iskak Tulungagung General Hospital and were willing to receive education and training on early mobilization. The program was conducted from May 2023 to June 2023 in the surgical ward of Dr. Iskak Tulungagung General Hospital, involving 20 participants, all of whom were post-laparotomy patients. The expected outcomes of this community service were that the participants would understand and appreciate the importance of early mobilization post-laparotomy, be able to perform early mobilization following surgery, and recognize the significance of early mobilization in postoperative recovery.
