Abstract

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).Almost all over the world various prevention efforts have been carried out and caused a total change in the psychosocial environment of countries affected by this virus. This can cause various problems in their mental health.This study uses the Literature Review method. The databases used to search scientific articles include PubMed, Researchgate, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar published in 2020 and 2021. The study designs used were cross-sectional studies, and cohort studies. Articles were selected using the JBI Critical Appraisal Tools. Scores that meet the critical appraisal criteria, the study is included in the inclusion criteria and can be reviewed. The results of the Literature Review study found that COVID-19 had an effect on adolescent mental health. In 5 studies, it was stated that adolescents experienced anxiety, depression and stress disorders, the results of 4 studies stated that adolescents had psychological disorders and 1 study stated that adolescents had behavioral disorders.Respondents in this study were junior high and high school youth with an average age of 11-18 years. Mental health problems that often occur are psychological problems, social behavior and emotional. Psychological symptoms increased significantly due to the preventive measures implemented during the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected almost every aspect of life, including daily activities.
